BIOGRAPHY

 A born performer, Alyssa found her singing voice at four years old, and was working with some of the top Vancouver musicians- such as the members of Prism at only age 12.  Her resume chronicles an enormous amount of experience, including;

 

  • Two country music albums, with her debut single radio release hitting #18 Nationally in The Record Magazine (Canada’s answer to Billboard) and #3 Cancon.

  •  

  • Three BC Country Music Association Nominations for Single of the Year, Horizon award and Female Vocalist of the Year.

  •  

  • Alyssa has appeared in over twenty musical variety television shows, had a Co-Starring role on VH1’s “Big Sound” Television series, directed by Canadian comedy legend David Steinberg, a Disney Sunday Movie (Hero in the Family) starring Anabeth Gish and Clif De Young, one Feature film (Cats and Dogs) and multiple appearances on nine different Television series.

  • She is an 11 year veteran of the popular musical group ABRA Cadabra, an internationally acclaimed ABBA tribute band. 

  •  

  • She is also the co-writer of a children’s television series, called Maralee Dawn and Friends.

  •  

  • Her career has given her the opportunity to work with or perform for many note able celebrities such as Mohammed Ali, John Travolta, the King and Queen of Malaysia and many more.

  •  

  • It has also provided the opportunity to give back through her performing to many charitable organizations and individuals, such as the Children’s Wish Foundation, Make a Wish foundation, and Children’s Hospital, among others.

 

This is only a small highlight list of her varied and impressive experience.

 

Alyssa Nielsen is also the owner and primary performer in a company she founded in 2009, called  As You Wish Princess Parties. Through it she has touched the hearts of hundreds of children and their families with her outstanding portrayal of beloved fairytale characters.

 

In addition to performing full time, Alyssa is currently writing her own series of Children’s Stories and songs.
